We provides high resolution accurate mass services for molecular formula confirmation for small molecules including synthetics, natural products, pharmaceuticals and metabolites. We also conduct small molecule bioanalytical studies for drugs and their metabolites.
Global detection and screening of unknown compounds and metabolites that presence in biological matrix such as plant crude extract, fractions, honey, human liquid biopsy. The LC/MS-QTOF system used in this study comprised of an Agilent 1200 liquid chromatography system and 6520 quadrupole time of flight mass spectrometers with with Agilent electrospray ionization (ESI) source.
Data analysis will process by Agilent Mass Hunter Qualitative Analysis B.05.00 software. The chromatographic profiles were analyzed based on the accurate mass data identified and the predicted compounds were annotated using METLIN database.
Targeted Quantitation (PRM/SRM/MRM)
Quantify one or up to several hundred molecules, proteins, peptides and metabolite by using sensitive and incredibly fast triple quadrupole (QQQ) system. Small molecule bioanalytical quantitation can be used to measure the amount of a compound in complex biological matrices such as human liquid biopsy, bacteria culture, plant platelet suspension and etc. We use targeted quantitative mass spectrometry approaches such as MRM and SRM to conduct full bioanalytical studies for drugs and their metabolites.
The mass of the parent analyte is first selected while other ions are filtered away. The parent analyte ion is then fragmented in the gas phase and a specific fragment ion is monitored. This experiment has very high specificity because the MRM/SRM chromatogram represents only ions of a particular mass that fragment in a manner that produce a very specific product mass.
Data reports for quantitative MRM analysis include standard curve and QC data, raw and analyzed data as well as details on both the sample preparation and the LC-MS/MS method.
High Resolution Mass Spectrometry (HRMS) for Small Molecule Characterisations
APAF can characterise organic (synthetics or naturally occurring) and organometallic compounds using high resolution accurate mass (HRAM) mass spectrometry. This service is well suited to the identification of purified compounds and new chemical entities.
